Connecticut Press Club

Welcome to the Connecticut Press Club.

The Connecticut Press Club, a sub-chapter of the National Federation of Press Women, is the most dynamic organization for writers in Connecticut and Westchester.

Our members are staff reporters, editors, freelance writers, authors, publicists, and instructors. We know that we are living and working in a world of multi-platform communications and we are preparing ourselves for changes in our professions.

Our goal is to provide quality dinner programs and casual watering hole meetings that include networking in sites that are small enough for writers to network with each other and with high profile editors, literary agents, and other decision-makers who are looking for new writers. Recent speakers included editors from Yankee, Connecticut, Westchester, Stamford Plus/Norwalk Plus, Ridgefield/Bedford, and Fairfield/Wilton magazines, editors from The New York Times (regional section), editors from HarperCollins, GPP, and Praeger Security, and literary agents Matthew Carnicelli, Tracy Brown, and Rita Rosenkranz. Keep checking our website for updates on new speakers and events and to read our most recent quarterly newsletter, Press Clips.

We are also open to suggestions about new programs and new venues because we all share the same goals. Won't you please join us?

The best of both worlds!
